“Hermit Thrush At Morn” and “Romance” by Amy Beach

Pianist Ieva Jokubaviciute and violinist Scott Yoo play excerpts from composer and pianist Amy Beach’s “Hermit Thrush At Morn” and “Romance” at the artist residency, MacDowell, in Peterborough, New Hampshire, where Beach spent part of her summers after 1921 as a Fellow. Beach, who was born on September 5, 1867 in Henniker, New Hampshire and died in New York City on December 27, 1944, wrote Romance for violin and piano in 1893 and Hermit Thrush at Eve, at Morn, Op. 92 in 1922.
