Mini Christmas Tree Bauble Ornament Crochet Pattern

Last week I shared a free pattern for Christmas Tree Bauble Ornaments and today I have a pattern for mini bauble ornaments with a slightly different style from last week’s. They have cupcake-like shapes, or even acorns (this is giving ideas for acorn ornaments) or spinning tops. Once you stuff them with Poly-Fil, you have more control over how you shape them, too.

Colors (using Impeccable® Solid Yarn by Loops & Threads®)

• Rich Orchid
• Light Pink
• Citron
• Aran

Mini Bauble Ornament Pattern

Using Rich Orchid, 4ch, ss to first st to join and make a ring.

1. Continuing with Rich Orchid, 2ch (counts as first hdc), 7hdc in ring. Fasten off. [8 sts]
2. Starting with Light Pink in any st, 2ch, 1hdc, 2hdc in next st, (2hdc, 2hdc in next st) x 2, ss to join. Fasten off. [12 sts]
3. Starting with Citron in any st, 4ch (counts as 1dc and 1ch), 1dc in first st at the base of the 4ch, skip next st, (1dc, 1ch, 1dc in same st, skip next st) x 5, skip next st, ss to 3rd ch to join. Fasten off. [6 loops]
4. Starting with Aran, 1ch (does not count as first st), (3dc in loop) x 6, ss to join. Fasten off. [18 sts]
5. Starting with Rich Orchid in any st, 1ch, 1trc in next st, (1sc, 1trc) x 8, ss to join. Fasten off. [18 sts]
6. Starting with Light Pink in any st, 2ch (counts as first hdc), 1hdc dec, (1hdc, 1hdc dec) x 5, ss to join. Do not fasten off. At this point, turn the ornament inside-out and push all of the trc sts outward. Stuff full with Poly-Fil. [12 sts]
7. Continuing with Light Pink, 1ch (does not count as first st), (1hdc dec) x 6, ss to join. [12 sts]
8. Continuing with Light Pink, ss all to finish. Make a hanger loop with the end and fasten off.
