2025: Year in Review
From the first cozy day of 2025 relaxing at home to seeing many difficult times for everyone to the last night of 2025 out dancing with my sister and friends on New Year’s Eve to usher in a wonderful beginning to the New Year, 2025 was a tumultuous year but had its great moments, too, and was a year of change for me. Sister New Year
I’m in California for the new year and today my sister and I spent numero uno driving through the Santa Monica Mountains until we reached our destination of Malibu Beach. I also bought a premium Duolingo subscription for language lessons, as a gift to myself. I’ve started a new blanket for 2025, with a bright and festive row with colorful popcorns to celebrate the new year, a white row for a fresh new year and with…

A Proper Start to the New Year
After a wonderful New Year’s Eve visiting with my favorite person in the world, my daughter, I had a rejuvenating New Year’s day in communion with myself and with nature. This included getting re-acquainted with exercise, exploring the parks and walking paths of my new town, and making some good food to start the year off right. After a leisurely morning sleeping in until 8:30, I dawdled a bit and had my coffee, and then I was ready for exercise. No, I am not a person who can roll out of bed and go straight into a workout. I need some waking time first, so if I am to do…

Phoenix New Year
Here are a few photos from my New Year/winter break in beautiful Phoenix. Pinkish and cornflower blue skies, the freshness of the dry air, the clean lines of the city, the mountains, time with loved ones: the start of the New Year. ❤️ My Curiouser and Curiouser List: Arizona
